I'm often asked, "Who do you use for <fill in professional service>?"
This page is for authors who are looking for help from cover artists to personal assistants. I only post people with whom I have had personal experience, so my list isn't very long at this point. Please note that in this instance "personal experience" is defined as people who I have worked with and people I have on my back-up list in case my regular production team is unavailable. As with any service, your results may vary.
BOOK COVER DESIGNERS:
Design by Definition - Danielle Fine had me hook, line, and sinker when she hand-held me through the process of designing a cover for my first book. I wanted something really different from what was already out there, and she delivered.
Designed by Starla - Starla Huchton was my back-up for my first book if Danielle wasn't available. I will tell you, it was a tough choice, but she's still in my sites. One day we will work together. Oh, yes, one day we will.
EBook Indie Covers - I had the great pleasure of working with the talented Melody Simmons recently. She does all the covers for SE Smith's Magic, New Mexico Kindle World. My PNR novella, Made for Her, is part of that world (Sept. 2017).
EDITORS:
Design by Definition - As it turns out, Danielle Fine is a jack of all trades. She did an extraordinary line edit for me when I entered Prophecy in the RITA.
Kriegler Editing Services - Laurel Kriegler was recommended by a fellow author, and she has been my proofreader/copy editor for all my books so far. She is patient, kind, and more experienced than I am.
Romance Your Readers - Sue Brown-Moore was starting out with her editing business at the same time I was starting out with my writing career. We kind of took our first steps into the industry together, and I'm so glad we did. She has done the developmental edits for all my stories so far.
FORMATTERS:
Design by Definition - Yes! She does this too! (I told you so.)
Seaside Publications - Nina Pierce is a goddess as far as I'm concerned. She understands all the tech crap that makes me cry with frustration. And she even uploads my books to my vendors for me. Now that's love.
MARKETING & PROMO:
Design by Definition - Haven't used Danielle in this capacity yet, but check out some of her graphics. They're beautiful.
THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS. MORE TO COME!
