AND 2019 I Heart Indie Finalist! A heart-rending loss...
Flora Bock will never forgive the Anferthian invaders for murdering her birth-parents. Growing up with the grandson of her sworn enemies is living a nightmare—until the day she sees him through the eyes of a young woman. But giving her heart to him is the ultimate betrayal of her parents’ memory. A life in peril… There are precious few places in the galaxy where Fander K’nil is safe. One look into Flora’s beautiful, hate-filled eyes is proof enough that Terr is not one of those places. He must keep her at a distance and stay alive long enough to fulfill his destiny. No matter what his heart desires. An empire at stake… Just as Fander and Flora begin to discover the depth of their feelings for each other, they are thrust into a deadly game of politics and assassination with an enemy who stops at nothing to stay in power. With the lives of everyone they love at risk, they must find a way to avert a new invasion before it’s too late—even if it means making the ultimate sacrifice. Cover by: Danielle Fine |
What people are saying about Collision
"I enjoyed the emotional conflict and watching the struggle of loving someone who is a species you've hated. If you like sci-fi romance, you should definitely check this series out."
~Amanda C., Reviewer
"Once the action starts it escalated into non-stop. A couple of times I nearly forgot to breathe! Also a good story to show how prejudice and generalizations can be overcome. I think each book in this series gets better!"

About Collision's dedication
Often times I wonder about author dedications at the beginning of their books. Who is/was the person to the author? So far, I think mine have been pretty straight-forward and self-explanatory. But this time it’s not. So, who’s Tommy to me?
I only had two first cousins, and Tommy was one of them. He was the first-born of my grandparents’ four grandchildren. As my sister and I were part of an often-moving military family, we didn’t spend a lot of time with our boy cousins on that side of the family. But, Tommy always held a special place in my heart. He was like a big brother to me. I always looked forward to seeing him.
When Collision was release in 2018, I was the same age he was when he was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease.) If you don’t know anything about this disease, it’s about as horrific as they come. Think of it as the polar opposite Alzheimer’s…the body rapidly deteriorates until the patient cannot walk, talk, and eventually breathe. The mind becomes trapped even though it stays as sharp as ever. The average lifespan after diagnosis is one to five years.
Tommy survived three years.
That was in 2013. And there’s still no cure.
This year, 2021, I started updating Collision’s backmatter eight years to the day after he died. It’s still difficult to talk, or write, about losing him, so I’m not going to dwell on that. But the experience has made me a life-long advocate for the ALS Association. This organization helps patients and their families, and they are the leaders in research for a cure for ALS. If you’d like to know more about ALS, or how you can support the ALS Association, please click the pink “Support the ALS Assc.” button below.
Thank you, from Tommy, and me.
