Who We Are

Natives of the planet Matir (pronounced Mah-tier) all have skin color in various shade of blue, from light to deep sapphire. Hair color differs widely. Many have natural hair colors commonly found on Earth: Blond, brown, black, and red. Other colors also common to Matirans are blue, white, an aqua. There are also rare instances of gold hair.

Most all Matirans have a psy Gift. The most valued of all Gifts is the Gift to Heal. 

Despite their skin coloring and their Gifts, Matirans have identical internal organs as Earthlings. The two races are therefore quite compatible with each other.

Our History

Matir's history with Earth goes back over 12,000 years when the first Matiran research ship (the Atlantis) set down on a newly discovered planet (Earth). According to scans, the research team believed there were no sentient life forms on Earth. They were very surprised to find out they were mistaken.

Fortunately, the Earth beings they came in contact with were welcoming and eager to learn. It did not take long before deep friendships developed, and in some cases couples bonded (married) and started families. 

This lasted until other more hostile planets showed interest in why the Matirans seemed so invested in Earth. To protect the less advanced people of Earth, the Matirans withdrew to allow their human counterparts to evolve at a natural pace until they were able to hold their own against others who might invade and take their resources. The Guardian Defense Fleet (GDF) was formed to protect Earth from a distance.
